Hal Ketchum will be celebrating his birthday on April 9. Hal is actually a native of a place not far from the Albany area. He was born about 40 miles north of Albany in Greenwich, New York. He moved to Austin, Texas in 1981. He would visit a local dance hall which influenced him to start singing and songwriting. That lead Ketchum to start performing in some small Texas clubs.

After working in Texas, Hal moved to Nashville. 109 years later in 1991, he signed a deal with Curb Records, and got his album ‘Past The Point Of Rescue' released. The album included his first hit single ‘Small Town Saturday Night.’

We would like to wish our neighbor, Hal Ketchum a very happy birthday.
