If you're a local you already know it's a great family owned restaurant that has been here since the late 1950s. We have been made to feel very welcome here and we hope you'll swing by and see us. As preparation for the "Small Town Tour" on the Sean and Richie Show in Mechanicville this Friday morning, I decided to see what I could find out about this wonderful town. After a few Google searches and a stop at Wikipedia, I learned that there just isn't a lot out there about this town. It would seem that people who live in Mechanicville just want to be left alone.

Chalk up another fun and rewarding experience - this time working with students in Mrs. Bushey's class at Shaker Road Elementary School in Colonie.  Some extremely talented jingle writers were on hand, so I put them to work immediately to write a Countryfest song!

When we opened the voting for the Small Town Tour, we had a feeling we'd hear from the folks in Schaghticoke and boy did we! With 28% of the vote, the new home of Countryfest will also be our first stop on the spring leg of the Small Town Tour. We're live at the Schag-A-Val diner right on route 40. If  you're not a local, it is pronounced SHAG not Schag.
