Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are back! The big announcement was made Monday night (Aug. 12) during the pre-taped CMA Music Festival broadcast on ABC. The pair will return to host the 2013 CMA Awards in Nashville this November. It’s their sixth time co-hosting the ceremony.
Little Big Town revealed the hosts game show style, with a bemused Paisley and Underwood sitting nearby. Balloons and streamers came raining down upon them — funny, because they were the only pair of “possible” hosts in the room — and Paisley cracked that it would have been really awkward if someone else had been chosen instead.
The video also relives highlights from the previous five shows the two superstars worked together. Finally, they high-fived (almost) and then the show carried on.
The 47th annual CMA Awards will air at 8PM ET on Nov. 6 on ABC. Once again, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville will be the venue. Nominees for the CMA Music Awards have been announced during the first week of September in recent years.
