This is a day late , but certainly not a dollar short as they say. We did this on the air yesterday and it's just yet another way the area has been hit by Irene. I hope you or someone you pass this post along to, can help.
This is a special Pet Connection for the Animal Shelter of the Schoharie Valley in Howes Cave….first of all…they survived the storm OK….some leaks in the roof…but nothing major.

There has been an influx in the number of pets they have taken in from people that lost everything or needed to evacuate and could not keep their pets with them. They are currently looking for foster homes for their pets to make room for the flood victims….please consider helping. Kevin Richards wrote a great blog about this yesterday, that you should read if you think you could try fostering a pet during this tremendous need.

There is also a shortage of kitty litter at one of the evacuation centers for families at the Golding Middle School on Rt. 10 in Cobleskill if you want to drop some off. Anything you can do would be appreciated.

So without further adieu, if you missed "Pet Connection" yesterday on the " Sean and Richie Show", here is another chance for you to take a look at a couple of great pets up for adoption. We would love to thank our sponsor The Animal Hospital in Guilderland for their help in getting these pets new homes. Let's take a look at the pets featured.
