A Man With Alzheimer’s Lost his Ability To Speak, Except With The Family Dogs [VIDEO]

This was our "Good News" feature on today's show and I think it is one of the most touching. There are so many different angles to this story, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention first the message that this man's daughter was trying to convey when she posted this video, talk to and enjoy your parents while you still can. that in itself is a pretty powerful message.

Then of course there is the message of pets, especially dogs, and the unconditional love they represent. Other than your parents , there really isn't anything that compares to the love that a dog will give even without reward. I know for a fact that my dog is always at the ready to do anything I want him to do, he really does want to please me like it's his job. You can't be around that for long without understanding that there truly is a special bond between Man and dog.

I think this gentleman who never speaks, says it best when in the video he seems to say, "I'll take care of you, you take care of me".

So while I love the message that Lisa, the man's daughter who posted this video wants to send, love your parents, I would also amend it to say love all the important people and animals in your life, at least half as well as your dog loves you.
