Someday, and I mean SOMEDAY, I'm going to sit down and organize every picture from every Countryfest that I've ever shot.  I am still bleary-eyed from searching through files named CFEST (no year mentioned, of course!)  But I did manage to find a couple of "blasts from the past" that you might find interesting

The year?  Any guesses?  2001. There was my piano playin' pal Phil Vassar and the Summer Picnic Party headliner himself, Chris Cagle.  If you want more about that year and the line-up, you can check out Jake Thomas' old article, but that was one hell of a great Countryfest.  Cagle was fantastic, and don't even get me started about Vassar!

There's a shot of Jason Michael Carroll that just might best depict what he's like with the crowd.  Extremely friendly.  Stopping right on the stage to sign an autograph.  Real down to earth, and a great performer

And if you think he's only a great ballad singer, you might think again after seeing this.  He climbed up one of the scaffolds.  I guess he went to the Garth Brooks school of Performing!

From a different angle to show you that I wasn't kidding

Well, there you go, folks.  That's all I could find so far.  Tomorrow morning I will chug some coffee and start scouring again.  If I find any more, you will be the first to know.

But I guess what I'm trying to say here is that you are in for a great time at the Summer Picnic Party at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds this Saturday.  It's only $20.  Come on, folks.  If you went to see a show in New York City, YOU'D PAY THAT FOR PARKING.  Here's how you can get the tickets. See you there.
