20-Year-Old Arrested For Driving Drunk
A man from Broadalbin that was under the legal drinking age got into trouble with the law after he had a car accident, and was found to allegedly be drunk.
The accident happened early on Friday morning.
According to police reports, 20-year-old Jacob Parsons was accused of not stopping for a stop sign in Perth, at the intersection of Stair Corners Road and County Road 126. He ended up driving into a ditch. It’s believed that he was looking down at something, and not watching the road.
The New York State Trooper that was at the scene of the accident gave Parsons a sobriety test, which he failed, and then was arrested. It was reported that Parsons had a .15 percent blood alcohol content, nearly two times the legal limit.
According to the story from News 10 ABC, Parsons has a court date on Monday, August 3, in Perth Town Court. There were no injuries reported, or any information about what the consequences may be for the underage drinking.
