As I sum up my greatest holiday novelty songs segment, I wanted to end on a high note. A high note that you will be giggling to as well.  Here is not only a great song, but a great selection of hysterical holiday parodies, from the king of parody collectors-Dr. Demento:

If you'd like to read about Dr. Demento and his background, you can check out this article from Wikipedia.com, which describes him in a nutshell as:

...Barret Eugene Hansen (born April 2, 1941),[1] better known as Dr. Demento, a radio broadcaster and record collector specializing in novelty songs, comedy, and strange or unusual recordings dating from the early days of phonograph records to the present.

One of the big thrills of my life was to get a song parody included on one of his albums.  Ok, I'll be honest. It wasn't a  wide-release album, but a CD that he made for his fan club.  But heck, I'll take it!  It was called the Smoker's March, written in the late '80's when the new smoking laws first started showing up in New York.   Oh heck, it's Christmas, so here's the bit as a little extra.

But back to the subject at hand.  This is a very funny album, and you can probably find it at your local CD establishment if you run out today or tomorrow.  It's called Dr. Demento's Greatest Christmas Novelty CD and it's also available on Amazon.com .
