It's an interesting question - if you consider the times when they were popular, who do you think has been a bigger influence, the "Possum", or Blake?

I've been thinking about this.  You have George Jones, who in his day was extremely hot in his day.  Wikipedia says that he had 14 number one hits, and just ask ANY country artist who the "father" of the genre is, and Geore's name would immediately come to mind.

Now, on the other hand, you have Blake. who according to the same source has been nominated for 30 awards, according to my count. and has won 14 of them.  But that's not all.  Think about it - he has become a huge presence on television and it could be said that  has been a huge force in moving country music into the mainstream merely by his appearances on "The Voice".  He also tweets a lot, and is involved in social media (which didn't exist when George was in his heyday, but still...
