It seems we start the holiday season earlier and earlier every year. Stores selling Christmas decorations before Halloween. Holiday Music on the airwaves before Thanksgiving and so on and so on.

It's now even happening with Black Friday. Many places on that day usually open up very early. It was usually 6 or 7 in the morning, then many places started opening at 5 or 6 and some even opening 4 am. Now Black Friday is starting the night before.

Recently Wal-Mart announced that it would open it's stores at 10pm on Thanksgiving Night. They will have deals on toys, clothes and home accessories.  Toys R Us are doing them one better by announcing they will open at 9pm on Turkey Day. They will have deals on Ipods, Transformer toys and many more popular products.

I have always been a fan of shopping for the holidays. I feel much more joy in giving gifts than receieving them. But I am not a fan of killing myself and fighting a crowd just to get a deal. Especially on Thanksgiving Night. I will be too full from all the turkey I ate and damnit, there is football to be watched. I will stay home and hang out with my family. They are a little less crazy them some of those shoppers out there. I will just do what I always do. I will procastinate and say I really need to do some shopping and end up doing it all in one night a few days before Christmas. I've been doing it for years and no one has complained about a gift I've gotten them yet!
