As summer 2012 quickly approaches, it's time to prepare for your family camping trip.  Did you know there are over 8,500 campsites at New York State Parks?

According to Nysparks.com, their parks offer a remarkable diversity of natural settings for camping including ocean-front beach sites on Long Island, views of the mighty Hudson River in the Taconic and Palisades regions; cascading waterfalls, deep gorges and amazing canyons in the Finger Lakes, Genesee and Niagara regions; lake-side views in the Central, Saratoga and Thousand Island regions, and vast wilderness in Allegany.

My personal favorites include the Adirondack and Catskill camping regions of New York, now we'd like to know where your favorite New York camping destination is located.  By the way, make sure you tune in May 14-18, between Noon and 2pm, to go 'Camping with Kevin.' Listeners will have the chance to pick a camping area to win a $100 gift card from LL Bean.
