There is nothing I like better than when a superstar act does a pop-up club show for free.

I remember back in the day that Garth would do these types of shows from time to time and I always wanted to be lucky enough to go to one. Unfortunately, they don't happen as much here in the upstate NY area, although WGNA'S Secret Star Jam comes close to it.

A couple of days ago, Miranda Lambert did one of these free pop-up shows in Nashville and only let people know about it in a tweet she wrote just two hours before the show.

"So...we are playing tonight!!!!!  Exit/In 2208 Elliston Pl. 18+. no cover. 7pm doors.  Can't wait to see Yall Nashville! "

The fans that showed up were rewarded with close to 30 songs as Miranda gets ready to start her tour tonight in Indiana. They also got to see a bit of a different look: a Miranda with much darker hair. Let's not keep the rumor going that she no longer dyes it because she is pregnant. I think it's just a cool look for her.

Those who were lucky enough to get to the surprise show had another treat, as Miranda was also joined by former "The Voice" star Gwen Sebastian. The two teamed up to do a great cover to Little Big Town's latest release, "Girl Crush."

There is video of that performance. Maybe if we use our imaginations we can actually feel like we were there for the show!
