2012 Country Idol Winner – Sabrina Gogan

Nearly 1,000 people packed the Northeast's premier night club, Vapor in Saratoga Casino and Raceway, on Thursday, June 21 as 26 contestants competed for the crown of Country Idol and $5,000 cash!

After five months of auditions, the finalists made their way to the Vapor stage to showcase their talents in front of judges Scott Blaine, Richie Phillips, Jay Yager, and Rita Cox. The entertainment level was of Nashville quality, as one by one each contestant 'wowed' the crowd. From over the top stage productions like Steve Thomas' 'American Soldier' performance to simple, but yet crowd pleasing, performances like 'Jesus, Take The Wheel' from Donna Beudoin and Alicia Turkington's 'Cry,' the night was packed with people who have star potential.

It was a tough decision, but the judges selected the following as the top 5 of the night.  Each contestant was scored on appearance (10 points),  stage presence (15 points), and vocals (25 points).
