Tyler Hubbard had perfect timing when it came to getting home for his son Luca's birth. The Florida Georgia Line member is on the road this summer, but made it back for the major life moment — barely!

Hubbard's wife Hayley was due on Monday (Aug. 19), so he and bandmate Brian Kelley had pre-scheduled a break into their 2019 Can't Say I Ain't Country Tour dates, giving him a few days at home following their Saturday night (Aug. 17) show. Hayley tells People she had worried about him not making it home in time, but "our doula Lori said Tyler and I are too connected for Luca to not wait" — and she was right!

"The moment Tyler flew in from his last show of the weekend, the contractions started!” Hayley shares. “Tyler was so helpful in the birthing process from start to finish, and I’m so glad he made it home in time.”

Luca Reed Hubbard was born at 3:40AM on Monday in Nashville. He is the Hubbards' second child, joining big sister Olivia Rose, who will turn two in December.

"Words can’t describe the overwhelming emotions that I experienced last night as we witnessed the miracle of life," Hubbard wrote on Instagram following the delivery . "I couldn’t be more proud of my amazing wife @hayley_hubbard through this whole journey. She’s an absolute angel and meant to be a mother.

"I thank God for answering our prayers and bringing Luca into the world peacefully and smoothly," he added. "I didn’t think life could get any better but it just did."

Hubbard will be alternating time at home with weekends on the road. FGL's summer tour picks up again on Thursday (Aug. 22).
