With the success Will Brown had in his first year as head coach and General Manager of the Albany Patroons, I would be surprised if he’s not back next season.

The Albany Patroons will need a two game home court winning streak to win the The Basketball League Championship. You have to like their chances.

I'm not sure what coach Brown is thinking, but the Patroons need to pull out all the stops to make sure he’s back at the Washington Avenue Armory next season.

I still think it is astounding that the Patroons have not lost a game at home. The home court advantage is the real deal for these Patroons.

The Albany Patroons who had the best record in The Basketball League during the regular season, still had to open the post season on the road.

It was the University at Albany's first trip to the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. Head coach Will Brown would take the Great Danes four more times. However, the game on March 17, 2006 was more than special, on and off the court. I was at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia with the team and will never forget the experience of that game. Albany alumni across the country were digging out their old 'Albany State' sweatshirts after that program changing performance.
