If you're a 'wheel watcher' you'll have a rooting interest tonight as another local resident will be appearing on the popular game show 'Wheel of Fortune'.

Wheel of Fortune has recently featured a few contestants from the Capital Region and while neither were able to score riches, they were able to walk away from the beloved show without suffering any awkward, viral moments. Melanie, a Wheel contestant from Thursday night, was not so lucky.

Yesterday Jenn and I decided to head up to Saratoga and try to get on one of our favorite game shows, Wheel Of Fortune. We figured we didn't have a chance, but then my name was called.

When Scott Hartman, a sales manager with Verizon Wireless, auditioned on a dare by his son Alex, I wonder if he thought he was even going to get a spot on the show, let alone win so big on "Wheel of Fortune!"

Maybe it was luck, maybe it was skill, but it was probably his sweet hawiian shirt that gave this guy the power to get a "Wheel of Fortune" puzzle with only one letter! I don't know about you, but I can barely get the puzzles when there is only one letter left, let alone only one turned around...

Man, I wish I had this kind of luck!! We have been talking a lot on the show lately on the importance of education and how many of the teachers these days have to go into their own pockets or seek funding just to provide their kids with the tools they need to learn...

I'm sure you remember the video that went around a couple of weeks ago featuring a man blowing his chance at a million dollars on "Wheel of Fortune" by making terrible guesses on almost completely solved puzzles, well last night we got another great fail on the show.

This guy has quickly become, through the power of mainstream and social media, a total laughing stock.  Yes, I laughed hard myself, I must admit.  And then I thought about it.  I kind of feel bad for him! Have you seen the video?

He was supposed to guess a "thing" with only 2 letters showing, and somehow he pulled it off!  Pat and Vanna, both left speechless - it was as if the control room didn't even know how to deal with the win! He only guessed once!  $45,000...
