technology

It's getting harder to get away with a fake ID with new technology. Times have definitely changed since I was under 21.  According to a post on newyorkupstate.com, about a twitter post by the New York State DMV, Governor Cuomo has approved police using new technology to catch fake ID's...

The New York State Police is getting a bit more help in crime solving and traffic violations. They are looking to the sky. It was announced that they will be assisted by nearly two dozen drones.

After the horrific quadruple murder that happened in Troy, the entire community was hoping for swift action from authorities. Police were able to make two arrests in connection to the murders thanks to crime fighting technology.

To be completely honest, I think this list extends far beyond the millennial generation. Do you agree with this list?

If you've been an Apple user for a while, you've learned that once Apple does something completely new, the first one is usually worth skipping. That's kind of what happened with the iPhone 8 Plus.

I'm a tech nerd so bear with me. I'm the type of person who watches every Apple Keynote live, I know the new specifications of products coming out, and if there's an app that's gaining popularity I have to try it. So imagine my excitement when I saw Apple and Google in person!

We've been waiting and waiting and now it's finally here! Ride sharing is available in the Capital Region and now us 518-ers will know the benefits of Uber and Lyft!

We're surrounded by technology everywhere and a good part of our life depends on it so of course it's the first thing someone would want to attack. Recently you may have seen in the news the word "Ransomware" being thrown around, let me explain.

My father is the least technologically inclined person ever but I trusted him to take a picture of me and my Mother for Mother's Day.

Ryan got a pretty cool wrist phone for his birthday. Yes a phone that he wears on his wrist. If you told me even two years ago that my six year old would have a phone that he could wear as a watch, I would have said you were nuts.

Jenn and I try to have some balance when it comes to electronics out at a restaurant. Ryan is 5 and making him engage in conversation at times can be challenging. But I can't stand when we go out and the restaurant has a tablet at the table when we sit down.

I like my privacy. I don't really have anything in particular that I need to hide from people but I just feel uncomfortable with people knowing what I'm doing and where I am all of the time. I have my phone for that and even that freaks me out a bit.
