What other subject could you cover this week?  It has to be about the troops and the flag and patriotism and all that good stuff. You, our faithful listeners did it again!  I absolutely loved the lyrics to this one.  It almost wrote itself!

I don't know about you, but  If Dorrie and I have to  look at these two items ONE more time we're going to be put into straight jackets and sequestered in padded rooms.  But then again, that will give us an even worse case of CABIN FEVER!!  (Dorrie and my duet about the subject to follow)

it must be bitter sweet for Jerry Jennings. It has to be tough to leave that position as Albany's mayor, but he has been there for over 20 years, and he deserves to relax.  (But not before he gets picked on one more time!!)

Is it pronounced Ghent or Geh-Hent?  You wouldn't know if you asked our Bethany, but I digress.  It gave me the idea to pay tribute to your little corner of the world.

What do you think were the biggest news items of the past year?  And better yet, can you get them to rhyme? That has been my biggest challenge this week, but I think I worked it out.

There are a slew of funny Christmas songs out there. This is one of my favorites from fellow radio guy Bob Rivers. Someone took the time to put visuals to it and provide lyrics, so you can sing and laugh along!

There's a lot of online shopping going on this Christmas season. Watch out! Scammers are everywhere.  I actually met one of them and got him to sing a duet with me as a punishment!

Bethany challenged me, and Lord knows, I love a good musical challenge (but not at 6 a.m.!). Nevertheless, I took her up on it. She wanted me to write a parody of this hot country hit by Luke Bryan, so I said I would give it a shot. Lyrics are included.

You might be living under a rock if you don't know this story.  Actually, when I saw her on TV I wanted to go hide under a rock. The very talented Miley Cyrus has reached an all-time low in my humble opinion.  In fact I decided to write a song about it

Don't ask me how I ended up connecting Menands with Zac Brown.   I think it was playing one morning and when I heard "toes in the water , a## in the SAND", I stuck Menands in where SAND was -cuz it rhymed, see?  Again, don't ask...  Here's your song for Your Town Thursday

I've always LOVED parodying Willie Nelson.  I've always loved that "warble" when he sings.  So I gave it a shot this morning - pretending that he came on the air with us to hype his appearance at the Taste Of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain.  (Are  you going?)  Get those tix!.
