If you are a ski or snowboarder, good news. Mountains in and around the Capital Region are going to extend the ski season, some up to three extra weeks.

It seems logical that if kids wear helmets on their bicycles, then they should definitely wear them when they are skiing or snowboarding. I thought it already was a law, but apparently it wasn't. Now legislation is moving forward for this to become a law.

Christmas day, over one hundred skiers were stranded on a ski lift after high winds caused the lift to malfunction. Fortunately no one was injured.

Skiing was above average for this time of year - it was affordable and a short drive, plus lots of sunshine.

I think no matter what time of day you are being forced to trek out into our winter wonderland today, the roads most likely won't be very visible.  Steve Caporizzo's morning forecast said the winds are suppose to carry in to tomorrow and if they are anything like they were this morning, I think I may have been safer riding a horse to and from work.
