Every year, Wreaths Across America goes to national military cemeteries and lays wreaths at each of the gravesites of those veterans who have passed. This year, they need your help.
Memorial Day is the day where we remember those who have lost their lives fighting for this country, our freedoms, and the ability to enjoy a weekend. I knew that the one place I wanted to spend that was at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
In December, I volunteered for a life-changing event where I placed wreaths at graves of our fallen soldiers at Saratoga National Cemetery. If you missed that, there's another opportunity that I'll be a part of coming up for Memorial Day.
Though I've never served, the military hold a special place in my heart. They do so much for me, I try to find what I can do to support them. I recently found the organization Wreaths Across America and now, I never see a future Christmas without them.
I am always in awe when I go to visit the Saratoga National Cemetery. My grandfather and grandmother Cavotta are both buried there. My grandfather served in the Navy during World War II. When we had their funerals, it was such an amazing tribute and a touching ceremony.
