If you're like us, just starting out, here are two great places to go hiking and you don't even have to drive very far north.

I'd like to think if I were in this situation that I'd be brave enough to defend myself but I don't know if I could. I give all of the credit in the world to these two for not only supporting and looking out for each other but for the business they've built.

I love food, which is good I need it to survive, but my problem is that I love all of the food that's not good for me. Luckily today is "National Eat What You Want" Day and I may partake and worry about it tomorrow, it doesn't happen to be "Magically Lose 10 Lbs Day" tomorrow, does it?

It is a big day this Saturday for the new Rotterdam Aquarium, which will celebrate it's grand opening.

History was made on Monday night at Towne Bowling Academy when Rotterdam's own Liz Kuhlkin set a national bowling record!  She set the record for the highest three-game series by a woman! Liz is just 23-years old!  She graduated from Schalmont High School and was All-American at the University of Nebraska where she won 2 NCAA Championships...

I have to tell you I am not as familiar with Mastroianni Bros. Bakery as I am sure the residents of Rotterdam and Schenectady are, but I know people who are saddened by the news today that they have closed for good.  According to an article on WNYT.com the owner and CEO, Warren Zeiser announced today that they are closing their doors after 90 years serving the Capital Region.
