Rick Pitino's basketball resume is hard to compare to any other coach in the nation; head coach of numerous successful collegiate programs, as well as two NBA teams. Pitino has developed some of the best basketball players in the world. However, as the song goes, "all that shines, is not gold."

Downtown Albany was buzzing on Friday with the perfect storm of St. Patrick's Day mixed in with round one of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Like any premier sporting event, featuring the best college players in the country, the stars wear out on Pearl Street.

Rumor has it that Hall of Fame college basketball coach Rick Pitino is interested in the head coaching vacancy at Siena College.  While it may seem like a longshot, the disgraced coaching legend and the fledgling basketball program may actually be a good fit.  Do I think it will happen? It's a bit of a longshot,  but here are 5 reasons it may actually work.
