Vermont is taking another step forward in reopening Monday.

While many retail stores are now free to open for in store shopping, some Crossgates Mall stores are still waiting for the go ahead.

After 5 other Upstate New York economic regions hit phase 2 or reopening last week, the Capital Region looks like it will follow suit this Wednesday.

Several regions of the state were on track to start phase 2 of reopening today before Governor Cuomo announced data from phase 1 will need to be reviewed before that can happen.

The Oneida Indian Nation released a statement on Tuesday saying that they plan to reopen Turning Stone Resort and Casino in June. Vermont has not seen the infection rates of neighboring states, and will let stores start to reopen next week.
