WGNA is proud to announce our 8th annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids radiothon for Wednesday, August 7 and Thursday, August 8 2013.

In 2002 I had the honor of hosting a bus trip to see the Alabama Farewell Tour. Now, a little over 10 years later, we have a chance to see the mega-group once again on the much anticipated 'Back To The Bowery' Reunion Tour!

Randy Owen of Alabama is one of the truly good guys. His work with St Jude Children's Hospital and Research Center is legendary and has paved the way for all of Country music and radio to help as well. SO he completely get's a pass for this hysterical slip up at last week's Radio Convention at St Jude. This is not safe for work!

As we continue to raise funds to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, we discovered a fun story about Randy Owen, the man who created the Country Cares for St. Jude kids radiothon.

It's all about the kids.  That's the message at St. Jude.  We spent a lot of time at the hospital, hearing the patients and parents speak.  It was some of the most moving conversations I've heard in a very long time.  And there are many stars who make unannounced appearances there to show their support.  Here are just two of them (captured by yours truly with my handy dandy pocket camera).  Read M
