Polar Vortex

It may be spring, but it doesn't appear winter is nowhere near ready to release New York from its chokehold.

As bitter cold sweeps most of the nation, what is the coldest temperature ever recorded in the Empire State?

They're calling him the 'Christmas Angel.'

As Santa delivers presents, the jet stream will deliver Arctic air to New York that could put the Capital Region into a dangerous single-digit temp holiday.

You may have not liked how this winter started, but because of the freezing cold temperatures, it may have knocked out one of the most annoying insects.

It pains me to write this, so please don't curse  the messenger. More brutal winter weather is coming our way in the next few days or so and it's not going to be pretty.  Snow will be falling and so will the temperature.  Insane cold is in our forecast as the vaunted polar vortex makes it way through the Capital Region this week.

The Good News: We probably won't see a lot of snow from a powerful storm brewing over the Atlantic Ocean right now. The Bad? It will lead to more extremely cold temps later this week.
