When we started this team just over a year ago, the goal was to have fun. Some of us were coming from a team that wasn't playing as a team, with that came a lot of losses and a lot of unnecessary drama. The finger kept getting pointed and the fun was taken out of it. After 25+ years of playing the game, I honestly thought, maybe I was done.

This time around was a little different than my first Secret Star back in the Spring; 1) I was more adapted to my position here at GNA 2) I knew what to expect going in 3) I also knew the line up going in which was different for all of us this go around. It really allowed us to know just how big of a deal this show was going to be and man, was it!?!

Eric Paslay made his return to the Capital Region at the Upstate Concert Hall Friday night. I headed into the show with my GNA family and we got a round of drinks. It felt nice to just kind of kick back and relax to kick off the weekend, even though we were all technically working still.

Sean and Bethany came into the studio yesterday afternoon and said, "listen, this is a big ask but would you be interested..." I was basically like, "stop right there, I'm in!" Next thing I knew I was out bright and early this morning to talk to some of the Capital Regions best on Election Day at the different polling stations.

Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning. It continues in my world. Well, it's not actually my stuff, rather a friends families stuff. A basement that was so full you couldn't even find a path to walk has been slowly but surely getting straightened up and organized. That being said, some of the gems I've found within are priceless.

I have loved all of these country shows coming through the Capital Region. It's been great to not only get to these shows, but experience the true talent of such big names like Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and as of last night, Carrie Underwood.

Saturday was a busy day for me, so for myself, I headed for a bit of relaxation in between my events. One of my favorite places to be is Peebles Island in Waterford. It's basically right in my backyard yet feels like a faraway land considering it's city like surroundings.

Sure, it's just the preseason. And sure, it's not even at either of the teams home arena. But, that doesn't diminish the cool factor as I watched the Boston Celtics take on the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday!

Blake Shelton was everything last night. I may have been backstage, possibly in an area I wasn't supposed to be at one point, I met Blake Shelton and had a blast!
