Recenttly we celebrated National Photo Day- and I celebrated by taking very few.   I'm trying not to be a killjoy here, but I read an article that really made me rethink all the photos I take.

Now look what Facebook is into -moviemaking.  They want you to see this short film, and after viewing at it, I agree!

Many people have video on their phones, but face it - there's only limited room on your phone and it has no zoom (which oddly rhymes).  I wanted a dedicated camera for just shooting video.  Here's what I got:

This is a great idea - posting a selfie with your infant daughter or son and trying to mimic their facial expressions. This one went totally viral.

OMG - am I guilty of this!  How many stupid pictures do I have on my phone that I should delete but don't?  Are you the same in that regard?  Here are a few of mine

This is very cool.  A great diversion.  Why did I post this?  Because it was there and it's a trending video - plus I'm sick of all of the negative news lately, so let's sit back and watch this guy, OK?

It seems pretty obvious – look at a picture of something that you no longer have and it makes you smile.  But studies show that it brings more happiness than we previously thought.

Do you know what Instagram is?  It's a very cool app that lets you take a picture, apply an effect to it and then post it.  That would be cool enough, but now there might be a way to show your photos to others in your house without a computer.

Don't peak. Hey!  I said DON'T PEAK.  I heard this trivia question from someone.  I finally researched it tonite and it's true.  So  I can confidently ask the question again:  What is the most viewed photo ever?  Give up? Ok, you can look now

One of the most iconic American companies is "going under", and it saddens the heck out of me.  And pardon the sarcastic headline, but do you wonder why?

There's an old saying that the best camera to have is the one you have on you at the time.  And since my good camera was scammed on Ebay (yea, I'm not bitter), all  I had with me was my compact camera and my cellphone.  But with these fall colors and today's technology, you can still look like a photographic genius!

Whether it be photographing  a large outdoor concert, smalll birthday party, or your latest fishing trip, some of these smartphones can do some amazing things with stills and video,  and you don't have to lug around a big honkin' rock around your neck...
