The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles has announced new regulations for New York drivers who repeatedly drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Starting September 1st, 2024 if you are caught with one of these in New York you can expect to pay a fine of up to $500.

Don't get caught by surprise when trying to fly, the process isn't that difficult to update your identification.

In the months following the horrific Schoharie limo crash that took the lives of 20 people, efforts are being made to prevent such a tragedy again.  License plates have recently been stripped off dozens of vehicles, and while nothing can ever 100 percent ensure our passenger safety, this at least appears to be a start.
