A bright object was witnessed shooting across the night sky during the early morning hours Sunday.

A lot has been happening above in the skies this week. [VIDEO]

Loud booms and a massive fireball created quite the light and sound show on Sunday evening.  Witnessed by thousands of residents throughout the Northeast, on Tuesday it was confirmed that the Earth-shaking eruption was indeed a meteor. Experts say it was no bigger than a 10 pound bowling ball, but packed the punch of over 400 pounds of TNT. According to NASA, there were reports of  Capital Region

Is it a bird, is it a plane, is it that SpaceX thingy?  No, it's a meteor shower visible in our Capital Regions skies.

It was said to be seen from Midwestern states like Wisconsin and Illinois, seen as far in the East as New York and for the South down to Kentucky. A bright ball of fire

There you are sitting at a concert when the coolest pyrotechnics ever goes off in the background. Only problem is it isn't part of the show, it's a METEOR!!!

Is this really from the recent meteor strike Siberia or some old regurgitated video clip of something else?  I'll let you be the judge.
