'Thor 2,' dubbed 'The Dark World,' will see Chris Hemsworth return as Marvel's mighty God of Thunder to crush some new foes with his hammer, and the first trailer is said to drop next week on April 23 (according to the film's international Facebook page). While "The Avengers" continues to do great in the box office, many geeks like myself are hoping the next installment will happen sooner then later. So anything to tide us over is a welcome distraction. I'm happy to share a video game that might do just that, "Avengers: Battle for Earth".

This weekend box office has something for everyone. "Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance" for dudes and nerds alike, "This Means War" for chicks and guys that have to do as they're told and "The Secret World of Arrietty" for kids and childlike minds.

Last week I took my daughter to see 'Captain America: The First avenger'. I really liked it and so did she. They paid enough respect to the comic and did enough to bring in the average movie goer. One caution for you. Don't bother seeing it in 3D we did and you really don't need it to enjoy the movie...

I am about to let my geek flag fly! Marvel studios is set to release Thor in May of next year. This will be all part of getting us ready for the Avengers movie set to be released in 2012.
