It's a done deal! Finally, the sale has gone through for the Town of Malta and the legendary Mangino's Ristorante. The prime piece of real estate on Saratoga Lake has been up for sale and the hope was that it wouldn't go to a private developer. The Mangino Family and the Town of Malta have agreed on a deal.

It will be one of the biggest projects in Saratoga County and possibly all of Upstate New York when it's completed. The six to eight-billion-dollar computer chip factory got the green light from local planning boards.

There has been a lot of talk in the town of Malta about having public access to Saratoga Lake. Many projects do not include locals being able to get to Saratoga Lake because of private property being sold. The town may be taking it into its own hands.

There are Stewart's Shops all over Upstate New York. Some of them have been renovated and others have not. There is one in Saratoga County that has been well overdue for an upgrade. It will be renovated, but it will also be in a new, bigger location.

Let construction season continue. There is a long stretch of Route 9 that will be getting a makeover which means lane closures through Malta and part of Saratoga. The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will begin resurfacing that part of the roadway starting today.

Thousands of jobs are coming to Saratoga County because there are plans to build another semi-conductor fabrication plant in Malta. GlobalFoundries announced that it will begin building the plant at its Fab 8 campus. This project will bring thousands of jobs with the construction and infrastructure of the plant.

There is another boost coming to Saratoga County. GlobalFoundries has decided that it will be officially moving its main headquarters from the west coast to Malta, NY. This is a huge win, not only for Malta but for Saratoga County and all of New York state.
