A popular Italian restaurant that has been on Central Avenue in Albany for fifty years has decided to relocate. This will allow the restaurant to expand to almost double in size as the same family who started it continues to grow.

It was a staple in the Goose Hill neighborhood of Schenectady for thirty-four years and then last summer it closed. Many thought it was for good, but a family member stepped up and she has reopened the beloved Italian deli.

After a fifteen-year run, the Halfmoon Sandwich & Salad Shoppe closed its doors on August 20th. Although it appears to be the end of this establishment, the owners have announced a new venture and an opening date.

Back in June, the owners of the Twisted Vine Wine & Tap closed their doors to focus on their bakery. Now an Italian restaurant will be taking over the space in Delmar.

When you have a pizzeria and restaurant that has been in business in the Capital Region for seventy-plus years, they must be doing something right. In this case, they are doing Italian right and very well. Now New York State has acknowledged this Troy pizzeria for its legacy.

One Schenectady legend, Perreca's, will be helping to reopen the doors of another well known Little Italy eatery.
