It seems like every time that we turn around, there seems to be another scam that we need to be aware of.

It seems that every now and then this particular phone scam hits people in different parts of the Capital Region area.

The telephone and email scammers are at it again, although I’m not sure it ever stops.

No need to fear the date of April 15th this year.  The Internal Revenue Service is giving taxpayers two extra days to file your return.

More than 248,000 taxpayer identity thefts happened in 2010, according to a report done by the Government Accountability Office.

The online tax season officially opens today.  Last year, 70-percent of taxpayers filed online which translated into almost 99-million online tax returns of the 142-million filed.
