If you could say one thing that New York's Capital Region is known for what would it be?

Extremely old footage taken by a very familiar name.

A couple of hundred workers are receiving their pink slips in Schenectady. But there is a silver lining. There are a few companies that are going to try and hire those workers.

Its always sad when you see good workers get laid off. Here is why GE is doing so.

As posted earlier this week, we know that the GE district in Schenectady has a zip code of 12345, thousands of letters go there addressed to Santa.

Does anyone actually know the address that Santa Claus lives at? Because of how elusive Saint Nick is, Schenectady receives thousands of letters meant for him.

This was an example of being at the right place at the right time. I hosted an event for GE  at Proctors recently, which is always a thrill.  It was a variety nite for GE employees.  One of the acts was the Ferrara Dance Studio out of Rotterdam.  After bringing them on, I stood in the wings and happened to catch this really cute mishap with my cellphone.

Take heart, Capital Region.  They are phasing out the lightbulbs we are very accustomed to and pushing those squiggly ones on us, as you know.  But at least the prices are plunging

I saw this commercial the other night, and it commanded my attention and emotions when I saw it!

There's a new business that is coming to downtown Schenectady, soon.

We were with good friends Linda and George Dickie on their boat on picturesque Brant Lake this past weekend.  I was methodically taking photos of pontoon boats in homage to the Little Big Town song of the same name, when something very bizarre caught our attention.  (Bizarre video clip to follow)
