A couple of hundred workers are receiving their pink slips in Schenectady. But there is a silver lining. There are a few companies that are going to try and hire those workers.

This was an example of being at the right place at the right time. I hosted an event for GE at Proctors recently, which is always a thrill. It was a variety nite for GE employees. One of the acts was the Ferrara Dance Studio out of Rotterdam. After bringing them on, I stood in the wings and happened to catch this really cute mishap with my cellphone.

We were with good friends Linda and George Dickie on their boat on picturesque Brant Lake this past weekend. I was methodically taking photos of pontoon boats in homage to the Little Big Town song of the same name, when something very bizarre caught our attention. (Bizarre video clip to follow)
