Do you have to go through the embalming process when you die in New York? Who can embalm you?

I know this is a rather weird question, but the subject came to mind when I read this article lately about an obituary that is going viral on the web.  First I'll share that with you, and then ask the obvious, yet personal question and see where you lie (no pun intended)

At most funeral homes, tissues and condolences are all that’s typically offered to the grieving. But at one South Carolina mortuary, you’ll also be able to boost your spirits with a Starbucks latte.

As reported earlier this week, the Westboro Baptist Church, from Topeka Kansas, was planning on Thursday, to protest at the funeral for shooting victim, 9 year old Christina Taylor Green.
