floods

We've been hearing about the floods all over the area, and our hearts go out to each and every one of you.  Pictures have just been posted on our sister station's website out in Herkimer, just to give you an idea of what's going on out there.  You won't believe it!

There are some tough people in this little Schoharie County town.  They've withstood flooding, high winds and unspeakable losses, but they're still standing!  I thought you folks needed a little reprieve, so I wrote you a song (free of charge).  That's what we do here!

It's Friday night at about 11:15PM.  Been up since 3:45 this morning. It's been a very long day, but I would do it all again in an instant.  I had the honor and privilege of being invited after the show to go to Schoharie Elementary School to help kids write a song about the devastating floods.  I'm so proud of what they came up with that I want to get this out tonight!

We should prepare ourselves for hotter summers, snowier winters, severe floods, and a range of other effects.  Tropical Storms Irene and Lee are believed to be signs of a climate change for upstate New York.

The rain is starting to let up and move north of the Albany area.

Here in the U.S. 48 states have had snow, while, Australia's third largest city, has been hit with flash floods and have caused at least 10 reported deaths, 70 missing persons and displacement of hundreds of thousands of people.
