Since the coronavirus hit, none of us have been able to travel. If you're like me, you are itching to plan a vacation. There is an economy airline that flies out of Albany International Airport that is offering more flights to Florida this winter with cheap fares.

While we wait for the Capital Region to meet it's final guidelines, our neighbors to the North have now met all the reopening requirements.

The good news is several New York regions should be able to reopen Friday, The bad news? The Capital Region is not among them.

It seems everyone has to adjust to social distancing but it won't stop this Friday's Troy Night Out. They are now doing Troy Night In. Here's what's happening.

While the economy overall in the US has been strong, Albany's has been outperforming economies in larger cities.

Decreased sales over November and December are to blame for some major "adjustments" being made at the giant retailer Macy's. These cost-cutting measures will force the closing of 40 stores nationwide but will effect ALL stores when it comes to cutbacks and layoffs. In a statement on their website Macy's says that 3 to 4 positions in each remaining store will be eliminated.

I've discussed this one with myself many many times. The fight is getting interesting.

I guess I'm not a nice enough person.  I try to give whenever I can to the Police Benevolent Assn and other charities.   We try to do our part, but I guess not enough when you consider what some people do, including a well known New York politician.

Some people are doing it! According to the TimesUnion.com, Maseratis are starting to sell in the Capital Region. So are other high ticket items.   Go figure...

Bingo.  It's New York!  Congratuations. We win again!

Ace Hardware has to be a real bunch of happy campers, and so do the folks who work there.  Looks like there's going to be an expansion!

There are certain decisions from "above" that you have to accept.  There are others that you can understand for financial reasons, but totally ticks you off.  This is one of them.
