Folks who awakened to a rumble or boom weren't hearing things in Eastport this morning.

The National Weather Service has reported that numerous people around Johnstown have felt an earthquake registering 2.5 on the Richter scale.

An earthquake that measured 7.8 magnitude that struck Nepal over the weekend, has hit home for the family of a doctor from Delmar who is stranded there.

Here's how hard..

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting that a 6.8 tremor was felt in a remote area off the Aleutian Islands of Alaska.

This was pretty darn funny in a way.  I've  been beating myself up lately for not sleeping at nite.  I keep waking up every 2 hours, like I'm taking a series of mini-naps or something.  I keep thinking that I'm morphing into an insomniac.  Well, I'm not worried anymore!

An earthquake epicentered in Virginia occurred Tuesday afternoon, with people in Washington, DC, New York, Ohio, North Carolina, Massachusetts and Toronto reporting they felt the tremors, as well. Reports thus far indicate the quake registered a 5.9 on the Richter scale.

North and South Carolina had an earthquake yesterday evening, but it wasn't even half the magnitude of the earthquake that rattled Japan today.

When I woke up to the news this morning that there was a massive earthquake in Japan, I immediately started to think about the poor shocked people who woke up to that 'hell' this morning.
