Did you know New York State has more drive-in movie theater screens than anywhere else in the country? That means there's probably one not too far from where you are, especially if you're in the Capital Region, where a few of these retro treasures are still around.

Today is National Drive-In Day (June 6th) and New York State has the highest number of drive-in movie theater screens in the entire country. That means there's probably one not too far from wherever you are. There are a handful here in the Capital Region.

In the show, Guy Fieri goes to local restaurants (not chains) to feature them on his show "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Drives." For an upcoming episode, he picked one not too far away!

Local drive-ins have just announced their opening dates, which means warmer weather is on the way!

Summer may be coming to an end, but there is still time to get these 5 things in before we say goodbye to the sunshine and heat!  Trust me, I did them and you will love them!

Going to the drive-in has always been a summertime treat for a lot of people in the Albany area. Load up the car and head out to watch a couple of movies.

Even though we haven’t had that much severely cold weather this past winter,it’s a sign that it’s almost time for the warm weather to stay with us for awhile. It’s the opening of the 60th year of the Hollywood Drive-In in Averill Park.

Almost everyone loves to go to the drive-ins on a warm, summer night. Load up the car with your friends and family, and go watch a couple of movies from the comfort of your vehicle. Then head to the concession stand for something to eat or drink. I even listed it in a 4th of July thing to do blog.
