David Nail has departed from his longtime record label, MCA Nashville.

David Nail was just one of our stars at our #WGNASecretStar Acoustic Jam.  He was so great!  He did all of his old favorites, and he did a new song called "Good at Tonight" - his new single. And I got word today that he's released the video for the new song...

As I was watching the performances during Wednesday night's Secret Star Acoustic Jam, it occurred to me, Sean and I have had the incredible opportunity to talk to all of the stars at one point or another!  We do get to talk to some pretty cool people doing this thing we call a "job" and I am so thankful...

David Nail was one of the stars at our Secret Star Acoustic Jam on Wednesday night! I was really excited because I love a lot of his songs!  Including, but not limited to, "Let it Rain" which I feel is the ideal song to throw on the ole iPod when you are having one of those days...

I've done a lot of interviews in my day... some good, some bad... and then this one. I had the opportunity to sit down with David Nail, one of my favorites, backstage at our Secret Star Acoustic Jam last week and I was kinda really excited...

This time around was a little different than my first Secret Star back in the Spring; 1) I was more adapted to my position here at GNA 2) I knew what to expect going in 3) I also knew the line up going in which was different for all of us this go around. It really allowed us to know just how big of a deal this show was going to be and man, was it!?!

On the heels of releasing his new album Fighter, David Nail has announced his Fighter Tour, which kicks off on Sept. 7.

David Nail has found his songwriting counterpart. The singer continues to rely on Jonathan Singleton to help him create country music magic, from "Let It Rain" to "Red Light" and Nail's latest single, "Nights on Fire." During a recent visit to our ToC Nights studio, Nail explained the interesting process.
