It wasn't a major victory, but Friday's (Sept. 21) decision by a Nashville judge definitely favors Tim McGraw and his current record label, Big Machine Records. The ongoing battle between the singer and his former label home, Curb Records, will now move to an appeals court, where it's possible Big Machine may still have to turn over sensitive documents.

Lee Brice has a played a few shows up here in the Albany area and many of you know his big sing along hit "Love Like Crazy".

Today's Country 1077 'GNA has been watching the Nashville news wire very closely today. Tim McGraw, one of the biggest super stars in country music was in court today awaiting a judge's ruling on an injunction his former label Curb Records filed trying to prevent him from leaving the label.

What a fantastic time Jake Thomas, myself and everyone had at The Barrel Saloon in Albany last night, as we gave away our last pairs of free Countryfest tickets and WGNA presented Curb Records recording artist Ashley Gearing.

Most every musician has the dream of landing a major record deal, which usually leads to radio airplay, and in some cases the development of a superstar. Tim McGraw was one of those lucky musicians who signed with a major record label in 1992.  Now, after twenty two No. 1 hits with Curb Records, he's being sued by the label.

Well, I got to talk with Rodney Atkins from Curb Records a little bit earlier this afternoon. The interview took place at approximately 5:20pm.

Rodney Atkins is one of the best singers in country music and his voice makes his songs come alive.
