Grilling outdoors might seem simple since it’s the way that sub-average intelligent cavemen cooked food for themselves for years, but they’re all dead now — probably because they didn’t know that undercooked meat can cause food poisoning.

Ahh - it's time for summer which means it's time to have a BBQ and friends over for a cookout. There are rules about grilling - but there are also lots of opinions too. Gas or charcoal? Hot dog or hamburger? Mustard or relish? So we ask - what do you think is the best way foods, condiments, and fuel for your BBQ to be a success. Take our polls after the jump.

We're pretty excited about the Taste of Country BBQ Nationals coming to Saratoga this weekend - especially since we're presenting it to you. Besides great fun, a beer garden, and some great music from Phil Vassar and James Wesley, the biggest thing going on is of course the BBQ. So the other day I asked our sales rep. if she could see if the boys at "The Meat House" could give me a few tips on barbecuing to pass along before the fourth. Wouldn't you know it she came through! Yay Chantel. Here is a quick question and answer session that may help you with the bbq season.

Regardless what the weather actually plans on doing this weekend, this is a great and safe choice just in case you can't cook outside on the grill while there is a tornado warning or huge thunderstorm.
