I went to a Catholic school so we started every morning with a prayer and then pledge over the loudspeaker. Even though some schools are deciding to not do the pledge anymore, it's good to see that even children understand the importance and what it means.

I understand there are lot of social changes that will help move us forward as a nation, but I feel this move is misguided.

A fire district in Poughkeepsie was ordered to take flags off of trucks for operational reasons.

A 22-year-old man from Fonda was arrested and will be returning to Mohawk Town Court because he allegedly gave alcohol to minors.

I can't believe what these kids came up with in such a short time- but then again, I'm ALWAYS pleasantly surprised every week at how creative elementary kids can be when you let them go.  Case in point below

We have elementary school children recite the Pledge of Allegiance each weekday morning at 6 AM on the Sean and Richie show.  Sometimes the kids and parents don't get to hear themselves, so as a public service I present "Pledges-On-Demand".

Okay, kids (and parents,relatives and friends of...)   If you missed hearing your Pledge of Allegiance that you did on our morning show, here's your chance to hear yourselves again!

We wanted to remind you of how we value patriotism here at 'GNA.  One way we're doing this is to have children of all ages recite the Pledge of Allegiance at 6 AM each weekday morning on the Sean and Richie show.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this. Rapper Lil Wayne was performing with a giant American flag behind him, and when it was released to the ground, he stepped all over it. Really? Check out this video.

June 14 is Flag Day. It’s the day when we honor to the American flag.
