I understand that this is a very dividing time in not only our country but we're even feeling it here locally. Yes, we have the right to free speech but should there be a line with banners like this?

Around the time of 8pm last night, I noticed an unusually high presence of police activity outside of the building I live off of Lark Street in Albany.   I went downstairs to get a closer look and some of the conversations I overheard, left me scratching my head to say the least.

I've been seeing a Facebook post going around of a man at Crossgates Commons making women feel really uncomfortable, even taking weird pictures of them. According to comments, she wasn't the only one.

I'm sure you or someone you know has purchased something online, whether from Craigslist or a Facebook group and not known who you were going to meet. A picture doesn't tell us how safe we are with that person, that's for sure. That's why the Albany Police Department wants to help; to keep us safe this holiday season.

With all of the stories in the news lately showing bad things about police officers, it’s nice to know that there are some people that trust their police department.

So today, Bethany pointed out an article on the Times Union Facebook page about a couple of police officers in Albany who saved a couple of women from their car during the recent flash flooding. While we were quick to point out that the flood was horrible and did a lot of damage to many people's property and that all of our first responders did an excellent job in response to the sudden flooding,
