Earlier this morning on the show, we had the "content queen" Kristi Gustafson Barlette from the Times Union talking about a phone obsessed America. If it's bad now, how much worse do you think it will be in 20 years?
Is there really anything wrong with eating a ton of food that tastes amazing, that is prepared in a speedy manner? I don't think so. But, my work friends (we'll use the word friends loosely) think I have an issue. I disagree.
My coworkers have really gone too far this time. An intervention? Listen I know I have vices but I also know I am in complete control of all of them. My so-called "friends" at work however think that my latest obsession has gotten out of hand and pretending to be helpful and loving, they ambushed me yesterday and I am not amused!
When's the last time you checked your phone? Sometimes I feel like I'm literally addicted to mine. In fact, I've been trying to make an effort to leave it in another room just so I'm not attached to it!
There was a time when I wouldn't play any of the silly games on Facebook. FarmVille, CityVille, Mafia Wars, the list goes on and on! I would get invites for these silly games to the point where i would almost tear the remaining hairs out of my head.
We’ve spent our fair share of bleary-eyed nights in front of computers and gaming consoles. But it never once occurred to us that we might, you know, have a problem. And yet, according to the American Psychiatric Association, this could be a sign of a serious addiction.
