After more than a decade in business, a beloved restaurant and live music venue in Malta is preparing to close its doors this Tuesday.

The restaurant, bar, and live music spot has been a staple on Route 9 for 12 years, bringing a little New Orleans flair to the Capital Region.

Since opening, Nanola has built a reputation for good food, a wide range of beer and draft options, and plenty of live entertainment. New Orleans favorites inspired the menu, but it was the atmosphere that made people return.

Whether it was a trivia night, a local band taking the stage, or just catching up with friends over dinner, Nanola became a gathering place for all kinds of moments.

In a Facebook post, the owners recently shared their gratitude with customers and staff, looking back on the past 12 years as a time filled with laughter, friendship, and community.

Bands from near and far played under Nanola’s roof, and countless milestones were celebrated there. It was more than a restaurant; it was a place where memories were made.

While the restaurant itself will be closing, not everything is going away. Nanola Volleyball will continue to be part of the experience. The beach volleyball league has grown over the years, and the team has promised it will return in an even bigger way.

For those who have ever stopped in for a meal, a drink, or a night of music, Nanola’s closing marks the end of an era. But its impact will carry on through the community it helped create.
