These 25 Big Names Have Performed At the New York State Fair, How Many Have You Seen?
Some of the musical acts have been announced for the 2024 Great New York State Fair with more sure to follow. While we wait for the remaining dates to be filled I thought it would be nice to take a look back at some of the artists that have performed at the fair in years past. Britney Spears, for example, played the fair in 1999.
The 2024 season will open on Wednesday August 21st and wrap up on Monday September 2nd, Labor Day. Admission to the 2024 New York State Fair is $8 for adults but if you are under 12 or over 65 your ticket is free. Here are some of the shows announced to date:
- Wednesday 8/21 at 6pm - Digital Underground, Tone Loc and Color Me Badd - Chevy Court
- Wednesday 8/21 at 8pm - Joey Fatone and AJ McLean - Suburban Park
- Thursday 8/22 at 6pm - Ace Frehley - Chevy Court
- Friday 8/23 at 8pm - TLC - Suburban Park
- Monday 8/26 at 8pm - Megan Moroney - Suburban Park
- Saturday 8/31 at 8pm - Brian Kelly - Suburban Park
Did you know that Lainey Wilson holds the record for biggest attendance at a New York State Fair concert? Lainey performed in front of 53,200 people in 2023 to top the list. Nelly held the previous record of 43,000 and the Steve Miller Band third with 36,900 in 2015. Sonny and Cher drew 30,000 all the way back in 1972.
