On February 5, 2025 President Trump issued the Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports Executive Order. In short, the articles of the Executive Order, oppose male competitive participation in women's sports as a matter of safety, fairness, dignity and truth.
The order also indicates that the United States would rescind all funds from educational programs that deprive women and girls of fair athletic opportunities.
According to the New York Post, the Saratoga Springs City Board of Education passed an "Affirming Our Support for Every Student" resolution on March 27th. This resolution, in part, would clear the way for transgender students to have the right to use the facilities.
The board calls on families, educators, staff, students, and all members of our community to join us in affirming these commitments to provide a safe, inclusive, and high-quality education for every student. Together, we can ensure that each child in our district feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed." - Saratoga Board of Education
