‘X’ Users Share Shocking Footage of Severe Weather in Upstate New York
The remnants of Hurricane Beryl have been been impacting the United States for days now, and Upstate New York residents are among the thousands, if not millions, to feel the storm's wrath.
The hurricane, a Category 5, was the second named storm, first hurricane, and first major hurricane of the calendar year. The storm's location, intensity and longevity all set meteorological records in the United States for the months of June and July, and the ripple effect of Beryl ravaged parts of the Northeast in recent days.
On Wednesday, July 10, an extremely rare tornado watch was put into place in New York's Capital Region. The watch turned to a warning in other areas of the state, and unfortunately, that warning became reality as day turned to night.
We've gathered evidence (photos and videos) shared by users on X and YouTube of the devastating storm that ripped through Western New York, and shared it with you below.
