Jelly Roll has been vocal about his desire to 'clean up' his look. Not only did he get a complete smile transformation, he's also been working on losing weight and building stamina.

When someone's personal health and well-being is the topic of discussion, one might tend to blow over the topic and try to move onto the next. But that wasn't the case when Jelly Roll stopped by Taste of Country Nights — he was an open book to host Evan Paul when it comes to his relationship with food.

Breaking the fourth wall here, I have lost 290 pounds and kept it off for 11 years now, and Jelly Roll knows that. He seemed more comfortable tackling this topic with me due to our similar pasts.

"I'm just trying to change my entire relationship with food," the "Son of a Sinner" singer explains.

"I know that sounds cliché, but I have had, clearly, a horrible relationship with food," he says.

It's not just food that Jelly Roll has relationship issues with:

"Historically, if you look back at my patterns, I've had a horrible relationship with anything I've had a relationship with. I don't know how to do things in moderation, in general, and I'm working on that."

"The first thing I've learned this time is I'm not treating foods like it's the devil. I f---ed up last time I did that, which is why I gained a lot of the weight back," Jelly shares.

One thing is for sure, Jelly Roll is making good on his word to himself. He looks amazing and his career is skyrocketing — he just released his Beautifully Broken album. He is up for Entertainer of the Year this year at the CMA Awards.
